Who is Ramiele Malubay? Ramiele Malubay is a Filipina-American singer who gained worldwide celebrity status when she garnered 9th place in the Top 10 Finals of the 7th season (2008) of American Idol. Ramiele was born on September 6, 1987 (currently 20 yrs. old) in Dammam, Saudi Arabia (where her parents were working at that time).

Ramiele's early years up to her College Years. Ramiele was born to both Filipino parents Roger Malubay and Alicia Macrowon in Saudi Arabia. Her family moved from Saudi Arabia to the Philippines where she spent some of her early years. The Malubays hail from Polillo island in Quezon. The family eventually migrated to the United States and settled in Miramar, Florida. She graduated from Zephyrhills High School in Zephyrhills, Florida. She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA as he completes her active participation with American Idol and the US Summer Tour. Prior to active competition in American Idol, she lived with her parents in Miramar, Florida. She temporarily stopped her nursing studies at Broward Community College due to the American Idol competition. (The U.S. Tour starts July 1 and ends September 13, 2008.) During one of the American Idol pre-performance taped interviews, Ramiele is shown dancing Polynesian, which she learned with Hula dancing in the first grade. Ramiele took piano lessons for five years but can't read all the hard notes anymore. Her sister is teaching her how to play the guitar. Ramiele started singing at 12 years old at a cousin's birthday party. She speaks Tagalog & Ilocano fluently.
